National Assembly majority leader Aden Duale has asked for forgiveness ahead of Jubilee parliamentary group meeting at state house.
Duale who looked humbled, asked both Raila and President Uhuru to forgive him if he has said anything that is annoying and out of order.
“I have learnt a lot of lessons in my life, I just want to ask by seniors and elders Prime Minister Raila and President Uhuru to forgive me and let go anything nasty that I have said in the past.” Duale Begged
Duale whose position as the majority leader is feeling threatened after Senate Majority leader Murkomen and Nakuru Senator Kihika were all removed from their powerful position after Jubilee State House Meeting called by president Uhuru Kenyatta.
Jubilee Vice Chairman David Murathe, a close ally of President Uhuru Kenyatta and in strong opposition to Deputy William Ruto vowed to kick out Ruto allies from the halls of parliament.
In a report by the Standard on Wednesday, April 14, Murathe stated that the intended axe would fall on National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale as well his Leader of the Senate Kipchumba Murkomen.
The two would subsequently be replaced by members who were aligned to President Kenyatta’s Agenda.
“The President wants to have people who will back his agenda and push through government policy in parliament. This is not what Ruto Allies are doing. Murkomen and others are sabotaging the President’s agenda,” stated Murathe.
Murathe further provided that it would be easy to remove Murkomen as his position in parliament was not provided for under the constitution.
“Section 107 and 108 of the Constitution have no provision for the position of Leader of Majority in the Senate. It says there shall be a majority leader in parliament. So we will abolish the Senate position and replace the current leader in the National Assembly,” Murathe detailed.
The Jubilee Vice Chair asserted that the envisaged changes were necessary if the country was to continue running efficiently.
And now the sensing danger the Garissa Township has asked for mercy from Raila and his best friend Uhuru who are currently sweeping the National Assembly clean and removing DP Ruto’s allies who are holding key position in the Assembly.
Duale said , he still wants to serve as the Majority leader in the National Assembly and will pay his loyalty to President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga in an effort to build the nation.
“I know I’m the best person to serve as the majority leader, Former Prime Minister and the President should consider not removing me from this position. I will definitely serve them right and serve the nation with all my heart.” Duale Pleaded
