Kiss FM presenter Kamene Goro has also weighed into the dismissal of her co-radio presenter Andrew Kibe.
Kamene said that Kibe has been good to her and has always kept their secret together however much pressure they had to endure while working together.
She said that they have faced a lot of backlash together and Kibe has always been there to defend her and protect her no matter what happens.
“Kibe has been the most amazing person i know, always very free and charming. He has never sold me out or shared my secrets to the public. I really love such a person.” She said
Earlier this year Kamene had to address allegations of sleeping with her co-host Andrew Kibe.
This was after YouTuber Edgar Obare through his social media claimed that he had been sent messages by his followers who claimed to have seen them getting intimate in a car.
Speaking on the Morning Kiss, Kamene expressed her disappointment with the way people were misusing social media.
“The humanity is gone everything has become about social media and the likes and personally I just want to live in a world where I’m just human. Just Michelle Kamene Goro who wakes up in the morning comes and does my job best way I know how and go home,” she said.
She went on to say that such habits of doing things just to get likes will not propel the YouTuber’s career, adding that this is the far he will go.
Ms Goro also asked Edgar to take time and reflect on his life and see if the things he is doing will help him in life.
“Success please bro. wherever you are I want you to tap yourself on the shoulder coz this is as far as its going to get… for likes? What have you become. Just look at yourself for hot quick minute. How far are really gonna go for the likes? Ona kama itakusaidia,” added Kamene Goro.
In her twitter account Kamene applauded Kibe and wished him well in his future.
“Even if you had a twin, i will still choose you…”She wrote
Many people even argued that Kamene and Kibe were the best combination.
“Kamene Goro doesn’t deserve someone like Jalango with his childish jokes na kucheka cheka kaa mbweha…Morning kiss sasa itakuwa ni kutuma Salamu…Luhyas have won again. Andrew Kibe had content…mature content and his jokes matched the today world NRG Radio must be celebrating” One Social Media Wrote in his twitter account
Today Kiber took to his social media accounts to announce his exit from Kiss FM after working for 1 year.
“I gave my notice three months ago because I was being censored on the content I could put out on national radio,” he stated.
Kibe who is known for his hard-hitting advice stated that he had a great run at the station and would now focus on his brand on digital platforms.
“On social media, I can put out whatever I want without limitations, things I couldn’t say on the radio,” he noted stating that digital was the next frontier in content creation.
Kamene Goro and her co-host Andrew Kibe joined the Radio Africa owned radio station Kiss 100 last year amid a lot of controversy.
The two had just left their first radio gig on NRG Radio after giving a three day notice.
What followed was a legal battle that saw the takeover delayed.
Sources intimated that the duo were in breach of their non-compete.
“They woke up one day and told management that they were leaving. They informed the company of their leaving on a Tuesday and left three days later. Their notice was supposed to be one month,” a source said.
But it seems time is up for the once Facebook sensation, Kibe.
In a tweet, the outspoken radio host announced his exit from the radio station.
He said, “It’s been real watu nguyas. I will miss all your nonsense in the morning especially @KameneGoro.”
Kiber how further expressed his gratitude for working alongside his co-host Kamene Goro – whom he had worked with at NRG Radio.
“I am glad to have worked with Kamene and I hope she will join me in the digital space as well,” he conveyed.
According to data by GeoPoll, the breakfast show by Kamene and Kibe has been gaining audiences through the three months with 716,000 listeners in May 2020.
There Breakfast show was ranked sixth overall in the country and the second most popular English show after Classic FM’s Maina and King’ang’i.
Speculations are rife that he will be replaced by ex Milele FM host Felix Odiwour alias Jalang’o.
Jalas, if you like, was fired last week and a few days later revealed that he was going to make a comeback on one of the radio stations located at Lion’s Place.
“But I want to say, I might end up on Waiyaki way, on Waiyaki Way there are so many radios. But I had an amazing meeting with my friend, my boss, the first person who ever gave me the first-ever radio contract, Mr Patrick Quarcoo.
“We had a long discussion, so takeaway NRG radio but I think I might end up back at where it all began, Radio Africa. Which radio I still don’t know, could it be Kiss 100, Classic FM or Jambo,” he said.
