Jubilee’s David Murathe has confirmed that ODM’s Raila Odinga will take charge of the country once President Uhuru Kenyatta will be out of the country.
Murathe who was speaking with members of the media said that the only person Uhuru can trust with the country.
“I can confirm that Uhuru will leave the country and can only leave the country in the hands of Raila and not any other person.” He said
The president is expected to leave the country heading to France. It is reported that President Uhuru Kenyatta will take billions of shillings in debt for a road project.
The Head of State is scheduled to sign a public-private partnership deal worth sh180 billion for the dualling of the 190 kilometers Rironi-Nakuru-Mau Summit Road.
This will be the President’s first trip post-COVID-19 pandemic, which saw the Kenyan airspace closed for both domestic and international flights.
According to the Nation, Uhuru Kenyatta will meet his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron at Elysee Palace in Paris, where they will sign and preside over the inking of several PPP agreements on water, infrastructure and energy.
It is reported that Kenya’s signing of the tolling concession pact with a consortium of French firms under Rift Valley Connect led by Meridian Infrastructure Africa Fund will unlock the funding of the road which once complete will be the country’s first toll highway outside Nairobi county.
The project is expected to be undertaken on a PPP basis that will see the consortium raise finances for the road, design, construction, maintain and operate the roads on pre-agreed standards and specifications.
A source who spoke to the Nation indicated that a tolling funding is expected to be established later this year.
Under the PP model, investors are expected to raise finances for the two roads projects and design, construct, maintain and operate them on pre-agreed standards and specifications. The concession for both roads has been capped at 30 years.chaired by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

To make it worse, it was reported that DP Ruto’s name was blocked at the comment section of the live stream of the Covid-19 conference video.
This clearly indicates that the relationship between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto has gone to the drains.
According to the reports by the Star, it is revealed that Deputy President William Ruto declined to attend the Covid-19 conference purposely.
According to his sources, Deputy President William Ruto gave the conference a back off because of being snubbed on the fight against Covid-19.
“The Deputy President has been unhappy on how the Covid-19 situation was handled in the country that is why he decided not to attend the conference.” said the source.
Uncharacteristic of him, Deputy President William Ruto decided to stay away from social media as the rest of the politicians attended the conference.
During the conference, President Uhuru Kenyatta indicated that the bars will be opened and that the dusk to dawn curfew was going to remain for at least 60 more days.
In regards to schools re-opening, President Uhuru Kenyatta indicated that Kenyans should not focus on when the schools will be opened but rather the safety of children.
